Piaget 1970s Gold-Filled Manual Wind Watch

Vintage ETA movement Piaget with Roman numerals. Gold filled, as opposed to Gold Plated, C shaped case 33mm wide. Watch is in good condition and keeps time. Serviced in 2005.

These watches were manufactured by some of the leading brands to counter the threat of Japanese watches and the quartz revolution in the early 70s. The use of ‘ebauches was designed to keep costs down so as to maintain competition, market share and profitability. This movement has been nicely finished to Piaget’s standards and the watch represents an interesting, albeit turbulent, part of the Swiss watch manufacturing history. The movement is an ETA 2512-1 and has the serial number 34632 on the case back.

Price $USD 395.00 plus shipping. PAYMENT: Bank transfer or by arrangement.

Hello

I came across your website and was curious if the Piaget was still available?

Also, I noticed the prior Movado listings. I am looking for a late 1970's/early 1980's vintage Movado mens/unisex solid gold 14K band, case and dial Movado watch. Quartz. The band is ultra thin as is the case. Would you know of anyone/dealer who would have one?
