Lip Roger Tallon Rare 1970s NOS Mach 2000 Automatic Watch

A rare new old stock when purchased by me, LIP France blue dial Mach 2000 automatic wristwatch. Watch is working well and functions properly. Quick-set date works well and this watch is near showroom mint. Most of these watches are powered by quartz movements and rarely do you find the automatic version of the watch for sale and even more raraely in such excellent condition.

Case diameter is 31mm x 39mm and lug width is 20mm. The watch has the original band.

The most famous of the LIP 1970s designer watches are the rectangular and asymmetrical Mach 2000 watches designed by Roger Tallon, the designer of the TGV, France’s high-speed train. Apart from their shape, the most distinguishing feature is the large, spherical winder in the top-right corner of the case. The watches were originally in black or grey, and the crowns are often vibrant pop-art colours such as red, yellow or blue.

This watch is Featured on page 73 of the Pieter Doensen book and on page 157 of the Lip book "Des heures a Conter” by Marie-Pia Auschitzky Coustans
