Watches For Sale

As a collector I have acquired examples of watches over many years that took my fancy for one reason or another. I do not buy to on-sell watches. From time to time my collecting ‘bent’ changes. These days I have narrowed my collection into two streams, one of which is Omega Constellations and the other is of the 'Big Five'. Naturally, I am not off-loading any of my treasured Constellations, as, after twenty-odd years of collecting them, it would be a prospect too shocking to contemplate.

If you are interested in any of the watches please email me. Also feel free to contact me for additional information at mondodec@tpg.com.au.

Pictures of casebacks and movements are available on request.

Shipping from Australia is secure and reliable. All watches will be securely packed and shipped registered airmail unless otherwise requested. Fedex is also an option. Customs declarations will be styled in a fashion that protects the contents of the parcel.

As in any distance transaction, the bona-fides of the parties to the transaction are important. I will require proof of address, and I will give it; I will require evidence of integrity, and I will reciprocate. I will not ship to Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand or the former Eastern Europe, and I am loath to ship to Italy using postal services.

1950s Doxa Grafic

Electroplated chrome case, serial numbers 10408-3/6070966. Diameter (without crown) 31x35 mm. Crystal is in good condition and the movement has been fully serviced.

The Grafic caused a sensation when it was released in the 1950s. Its Bauhaus styling was highly distinctive at a time when watch cases were round and small.

A vintage Rado Manhattan wristwatch. Rarer model that features ETA automatic movement. Keeps excellent time; stainless steel case dial ,date day wiindow , non- original band and 36mm lug to lug. Original dial that has aged quite well.

Perhaps the most recognisable of vintage Rado automatics is the Manhattan line, the focus of a cult following amongst Rado collectors. The case is in need of a polish.

Of the brand’s radical and funky designs, this is the most distinctive and perhaps the most often copied, a recent example being the rectangular models of the Seiko S-Wave collection. Fully dissembled, cleaned and oiled in November 2005.
